Walk the World's

Saturday June 13th 2020

What a fantastic day! The Amor Europe BIG WALK saw 165 walkers, of all ages, walking in various parts of The United States, Mexico and the UK to cover a total of 2,986,369 steps! (approximately 2,276 kms or roughly the distance from London to our partner in Moldova) The steps from our BIG WALK have been included in the Walk the World grand total. Some people walked alone, others with a friend and others created 'virtual' teams walking on the same day but in different locations. Everyone taking part contributed hugely ensuring that every step went a little way to transforming lives of young people and their families around the world. A special "well done" should go to Rory King who managed to walk the most steps by a single walker, a total of 100,479 steps, in a combination of walking and running!

This year half the money raised will be supporting the ongoing core work of Amor Europe providing youth and children's worker training, building houses and providing clean water (water filters) in challenging places around the world. The other half of the money raised will be going directly to some of our partners around the world who are struggling with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic or are supporting some of the poorest and most vulnerable families and communities at this time.

A huge "THANK YOU" to everybody who took part and an equally big "THANK YOU" to everyone who has made a donation, every penny raised will make a real difference. If you would like to make a difference by making a donation please follow this link to my giving page and follow the instructions. https://www.give.net/RayWalk2020
